Internship Overview

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Intern will assist the Data science team and Project manager in the execution of various projects for clients. The position requires working independently, coordinating with team members and clients spread across different time zones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Data Science Intern is expected to perform data analysis using Python, R and SQL and collaborate with project stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.

• The Intern will solve complex problems with great team of data scientists and analytics experts.

• Effectively identify, prioritize, and communicate data requirements supporting analytics that deliver key business insights.

• Collaborate and communicate results to scientific, business, and editorial stakeholders.

• Ability to execute your research independently with reliability and reproducibility.

• Identify data quality issues using exploratory data analysis (EDA) and visualizations. (Required)

• Ability to work in agile project management and implement new tools and technologies in the project.

• Candidate will be familiarized with GitHub and JIRA.

• Extract the data using SQL and perform data analysis using Python and statistical analysis using R. (Required)

• Professional in English. (Reading, Comprehension, Writing and Speaking) (Required)

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Candidate must be enrolled in third year of B.E or B. Tech with majors in Computer Science, IT or Biomedical Engineering.

• Education : At least 80% or 8.0/10 CGPA during Bachelor's degree.

• Intermediate or advanced programming skills in SQL and Python (R is recommended. However, it is not mandatory).

• A deep understanding of Database technologies and tools, Data Warehousing, transformation and data processing.

• SQL development abilities is mandatory, including stored procedures, functions, sequences, and advanced SQL queries.

• Knowledge about Machine Learning, Deep Learning/Artificial Intelligence, statistical skills is highly recommended.

• Experience in writing effective scalable code and debug the same.

• Strong written and communication skills.
