Data Engineer Intern

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Intern will assist the Data science team and Project manager in the execution of various projects for clients. The position requires working independently, and coordinating with team members and clients spread across different time zones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Data Engineer Intern is expected to perform data analysis using Python, R, and SQL and collaborate with project stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.

• The Intern will solve complex problems with Data Engineers.

• Effectively identify, prioritize, and communicate data requirements supporting analytics that deliver key business insights.

• Collaborate and communicate results to scientific, business, and editorial stakeholders.

• Ability to execute your research independently with reliability and reproducibility.

• Identify data quality issues using exploratory data analysis (EDA) and visualizations. (Required)

• Ability to work in agile project management and implement new tools and technologies in the project.

• Knowledge of GitHub and JIRA.

• Extract the data using SQL and perform data analysis using Python and statistical analysis using R. (Required)

• Professional in English. (Reading, Comprehension, Writing and Speaking) (Required)

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Candidate must have completed B.E or B. Tech with majors in Computer Science, IT, or Biomedical Engineering.

• Education: At least 75% or 7.5/10 CGPA during Bachelor's degree.

• Advanced programming skills in SQL, Python, and R (R not mandatory).

• A deep understanding of Database technologies and tools, Data Warehousing, transformation, and data processing. (Required)

• Ability to query and analyze data using SQL, including stored procedures, functions, sequences, and advanced SQL queries. (Required)

• Knowledge about Machine Learning, Deep Learning/Artificial Intelligence, and statistical skills are highly recommended.

• Experience in writing effective scalable code debugging the same.

• Strong written and communication skills.
